Workaround: when finishing a mission, press all the buttons as quickly as you can to close the battle report, re-enter the Avenger, and go to the Geoscape. Personally, I kept the playtime as short as possible and also did a lot of file management of the savegames only keeping 5 saves at most, but generating up to 10 more per mission. Hopefully you'll be able to complete that game before some sort of catastrophic failure. Sorry to say, but given the length of playtime for your current game, I'd say it seems fairly common that you're having that sort of problem. But most of the time it would crash right after a mission or going to the bridge. I honestly can't recall how often the game crashed for me, because most of the time I'd leave the game running all day while I did other stuff around the house. I noticed the longer the time invested in a game the longer the loading, saving, and scene changes took.Įver since the last patch, load times improved but were replaced by crashes. My date in game in a long time in i guess from grinding things, I'm crashing after every one or 2 missions and also alot when going to the bridge and sometimes saving. I'm grinding achieves on easy atm then going to commander now i know the new game after the old xcoms. When I started the game it was fine no crashes for me playing and saving for hours.
